I'm fortunate that my neighbor on one side is a middle aged couple that are frequently gone on weekends. On the other is an older duo that don't really complain much if at all. Then again, maybe I don't turn up my rig that high.^^All work horses George. Your right they don't make them like that.
I really think you had a great idea adding that tube component. I like hearing it take the square edges off the digital stuff
When you have a set of cojones woofers your neighbors aren't your friends but you have bragging rights
I had conjones woofers once... once
Jim, cojones woofers never go away they just get dialed downl if it is what I think you're saying. LOL!
LOL Back in the day my ma told me "turn them down before you can't hear anymore, Me: but ma these cojones woofers rock! bwahahahaI forgot to ask, do you still have your Marantz speakers? If you do it's possible to fix or replace the woofers, if they just needed to be refoamed you could do that yourself there are lots of DIY kits out there. I've had good luck finding parts for vintage gear, one of the best things about the internet are all the options for collectors to find what they need to keep the old gear running.
