I like Paradigm equipment, I have two pairs of their speakers and have never had any trouble.

I have an older Marantz receiver and it sounds great, considering it's over 30 years old now that is a testimonial to the quality they built into their older equipment.

B&W make good speakers, but I would buy a pair of Totem's over the ones you posted in your picture Hep.

I would sure like some pictures of all your stereo equipment as it looks in your houses guys, My pictures are there for all to see, although I have a bunch more I could post, I am waiting for the "Forgetful" Feline to run out of excuses and Show us the money shot...the actual system the way it looks in the living room...no more "waiting for the Man to get on things" either.:nw:

I had a seperate's set up once but have moved a few times (can't remember how many) so only use a basic CD player now and my Yamaha speaker for IPod, here is a picture of it:

I used to have a pair of floor standing Wharfedales like these:

I ran them from a Marantz amp with a Sony cd player and a decent turntable. I will return to seperates at some stage when there is more space:)

I am familiar with Wharfedales Sweaty good stuff. Not a fan of i-pods myself, but if you don't have room for a proper set up that's understandable.

I like IPod's because you can carry your music with you and I travel and walk a lot so need tunes to be available and unlike a portable DAB I can choose. Plus I have so much music it is good to remember what you have so when buying more you don't duplicate. Can't beat a full system though:)

I can't listen to ear-buds or headphones anymore Sweaty, too many years operating heavy equipment...but listening to my rig at modest volume still sounds great.
