I did not know that Gary Glitter was "glam." I guess I paid more attention to the song Rock'n Roll. Oh, I just looked the song up on YouTube!!!

How did T. Rex, Slade or Mott The Hoople not win? I could understand if that is like "the big dogs" of Glam and you all wanted an "underdog" to win

I love Queen but I honestly don't consider them to be glam rock musically. Visually they definitely are but they're more of a hard rock or prog band in their early days than a glam rock band if you ask me.

I would have expected Bowie to win in an ultimate glam rock showdown since T. Rex and Slade don't really get very much attention 'round these parts.

I think, their music style were closer to pub-rock, but their image was purely glam'ish.
