Steel Panther Official Website

Discography:

2003 Hole Patrol (as Metal Shop) (later as Metal Skool)
2009 Feel the Steel
2011 Balls Out
2014 All You Can Eat
2017 Lower the Bar
2019 Heavy Metal Rules
2023 On The Prowl

Band Members:

Michael Starr (Ralph Saenz) - lead vocals, acoustic guitars
Satchel (Russ Parrish) - rhythm, lead and acoustic guitars, backing vocals
Lexxi Foxxx (Travis Haley) - bass, backing vocals
Stix Zadinia (Darren Leader) - drums, percussion, backing vocals

This satirical group of old school glam metal heads has been out since 2,000 making sure that people remember that metal is the only music that matters. For the longest time they were a touring act known as Metal School that was such a fun show that it attracted such collaborations as Kelly Clarkson and Pink. Here's the fun footage of both those performances:

Major Language and Content Warning on ALL vids

Metal Skool w/ Kelly Clarkson

Metal Skool w/ Pink

So now they have a tongue in cheek album out that's the loyalest of the loyal to Metal as well as a parody of all it's excesses!

Here are the two videos out so far:

Death To All But Metal

Fat Girl (Thar She Blows)

Check them out! I think it's inspired and hilarious! :grinthumb

Re: Steel Panther

These guys are fantastic, Bry. As soon as I opened the thread and saw their picture, I knew I was interested. I love Hair bands :)

Their satire is hilarious. Have they made an album yet?

In fact, I saw it while shopping down state! I was way too bogged down with other music purchases to get this one quite yet but I am interested. It wasn't until I started doing this thread that it had clicked that they were the same guys as Metal Skool where I'd watched the Kelly Clarkson vid years ago! Posting on this forum educates me sometimes! :lmao:

I knew you'd love these guys Magic :D Also as soon as I saw the pic... And at the same time I realised I'd have trouble liking these guys...

:D I'd never buy the album, but I might download it..

Re: Steel Panther

Looking at them takes me way back...:D

Don't think I'll buy their album either, but they get kudos for having fun and keeping the "Hair Bands" alive and kicking for Magic.
