Those last three songs were all actually released in 1964 and all 3 were already on our list for that year. We use release year for these lists, not the year it might have peaked on the charts
10. How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) - Marvin Gaye
11. You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' - Righteous Brothers
12. Go Now - The Moody Blues

How about substituting them for variety and accuracy's sake

1. California Dreamin' - The Mamas and The Papas
2. (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones
3. The Sound of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel
4. My Generation - The Who
5. Ticket To Ride- The Beatles
6. Mr. Tambourine Man - The Byrds
7. Eve Of Destruction - Barry McGuire
8. Like A Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan
9. Subterranean Homesick Blues- Bob Dylan

#11 was released in Nov 64, charted in 65 and one of the top 10 singles of 1965. It was a #1 hit in the US in Feb 1965.

By that right, it SHOULD be in 1965.

As I said for all the lists we've done for albums and songs (over 20 of them) we go by release year. Those songs have been on the lists already and no sense to have them appear twice. It would lead to every song released in November and December appearing on 2 lists and I think that should be avoided. There's plenty of other songs to to fill the list up

#1) As YOU said? When did YOU start running these? I know you act like it's your game, but you are nothing more than a participant. Feel free to state an opinion, but you are by no means the one who has started ANY of these nomination or strip threads.

#2) We finally get some new blood into the games, thus making it a bit more viable and legit than it's been in quite a while, which is great, and then run that new blood out by trying to micromanage it via little details? I've got an idea, how about this? Micromanage it the opposite way, the song didn't chart until the middle of December but was on the charts for 19 weeks the following year, let's put it in the yar that it actually was a hit?

#3) if we are going to go the route of when it was on the chart, why not micromanage it even further and say "well, that song never broke the top 100, it really wan't a hit, therefore it shouldn't be allowed"

:#@$:

*sigh*

Fuggit, keep the game and go back to only 3 people doing it.
Ups the chances of "winning" with those meaningless fake internet points, right?
