I was watching a morning news program and a couple of the hosts placed the Stones album, "Some Girls" on the same level, in the same league with "Beggars Banquet", "Exile On Main Street" and "Let It Bleed". Personally I wouldn't. Would you?

Maybe in terms of popularity??

Musically it's much different than the others you just posted.

A few years ago I would have said No without hesitation,,,but Some Girls has become one of my favorite Stones albums now. I was tempted to vote "Can't Decide" but didn't want to get the business from Joe for waffling...:heheh:

Just a side note, have you seen the double vinyl album of Some Girls yet Joe, I picked up a copy a couple of days ago.

It IS a classic these days. Way back when, it was a Stones album that I picked up without hesitation.

Yes...I'd rank it up there as one of their best.

Not an over zealous Stones fan reaction, either - but, I'd say it's as good as ''Let It Bleed'', ''Sticky Fingers'' and "Beggars Banquet"...

or maybe slightly below.

Slightly.

I would rank Some Girls with Exile, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and Beggar's Banquet as one of my favorite Stones' albums...But I'd still rank it below the other four.

I can't decide, Let It Bleed is a top album, but Some Girls is good as well.

I voted No simply because it is a different sounding album...not as raw and bluesy but a really good one nonetheless. It is more urban, edgy and is back to the basics. As a whole "Exile" will always be my favorite.
