Small Faces to Release Limited-Edition Box Set

Small-Faces-Immediate.jpg

On Jan. 27, 2014, the Small Faces will release a four-CD box set chronicling their three years on Immediate Records. ‘Here Come the Nice: The Immediate Years 1967-1969′ will feature 75 tracks and a considerable amount of extra material.

The first CD contains all the singles the band recorded for Immediate, including ‘Here Come the Nice’ and ‘Itchycoo Park.’ The other three discs are comprised of previously unreleased versions, studio outtakes and live cuts. The complete track listing is below.

In addition, there are replicas of three rare EPs on colored vinyl; a 72-page hardcover book with a foreword by Pete Townshend and testimonials from fans like Robert Plant, David Bowie and Paul Stanley; a fully illustrated lyric book; frameable artwork; a press kit for ‘Ogden’s Nut Gone Flake‘; and a replica of the acetate for ‘Mystery.’

Only 3,000 copies of the collection, which will be sold exclusively through Amazon, will be produced worldwide. Adding to the value will be the personal signatures of Kenney Jones and Ian MacLagan on a certificate replicating an Olympic Sound Studio tape box.

One of my favourite bands. Steve Marriott got my into singing back in his SF days but how he sang in the Pie was just outrageous!!! Shame there isn't more live stuff of SF but at least they had a good exciting live sound to their studio stuff. Ridiculously funny too!
Interviewer: Do you believe in Rock N' Roll
Ronnie Lane: Yeah, it's everywhere
Steve Marriott: I just trod in some

Worth an hour of your life...
Some great footage and smashing tribute to the Debris man...pity Ozzy's gangster and robber of a FIL is featured.
Truly a little gem this!

Happened to play the Charlton FC live gig from 1976 featuring 'The Pie' along with The Who and a few others that is featured in the Humble Pie Bootleg series Vol.1 box set where Jerry Shirley (drummer) says Pete Townsend watched Humble Pie's blistering set and then came on stage with The Who and pulled out all the stops!!.

Wasn't that the gig where The Who were officially declared to be the LOUDEST BAND IN THE WORLD on the decibel level the equivalent to a 747 'Jumbo jet' engine taking off!!!!!!!!!!!.
