I only ever heard a couple of their songs, namely Ana's Song and Freak, both of which I quite liked That was about 10 years ago too, it's nice to rediscover a band after all that time

I love Silverchair only for Frog Stomp and Freak Show. Neon Ballroom onwards I can't stand the band which sucks really. Favourite tracks for me are the likes of Pure Massacre, Israel's Son, The Door, Slave.
Anthem for the Year 2000 is the only song from Neon that I liked. From then on the direction was too commercialised for my liking.

Honestly I think Diorama was the least commercial thing they did. Frogstomp fit right into the Grunge movement and I always figured they were a bandwagon band with that. Diorama was orchestrated, weird , melodic, ambitious and epic. Now if you said Young Modern was commercial pop then I'd agree but even that was a bold departure after Diorama. They were young when they made Frogstomp. They made basic angry guitar driven songs. With each album they grew more IMO.

I am a bit picky. lol
I will say I agree that one was different but I still couldn't get into it, again just me and my pickiness with certain bands.
