Re: Saga
Seeing there is another Distinguished fan who knows who Saga is I'll post the next album. Released in 1980, Images At Twilight was a more polished record than the debut, the songs are a little stronger and the band more confident sounding. One cool tidbit about the band is they had a story that lasted over 20 years on their studio albums, called "Chapters"...there is a live album that has the complete set of songs in order, but that is a ways down the line yet. I really liked Saga's sound, they were more than just a pop/rock band to me, had some progressive elements, and a hard edge as well. I am glad they found success in Europe, that allowed them to make music well into the new millennium.

Thankfully we all enjoyed what was inside as well, tight songs, great instrumental work by the band, these guys guys were really good and different from anyone we had heard before, plus being a Canadian band was a nice bonus. We also started wondering what the "Chapters" were all about, it was too early to discern a pattern but as it turned out it became a long running theme that I will get to later...if there is anybody still interested of course.

I hadnt played it for donkeys years...and I tell you what....it was mighty good listening.
...don't think I like that name either.
They are just a good talented band, they can play hard or soft, smokin' guitar, ethereal keyboards, good vocals, decent songwriting...what else do you need for a band to get a little respect?
wondering what the heck ?
