I agree, Cosmic. Deep Purple bloomed late (with MKII), and Sabbath fizzled out early....but it will be interesting to see how things match up with Master of Reality / Fireball

In terms of parallel releases, by the time Deep Purple finds their feet Sabbath will be petering out. I feel like most of these will be very one sided like this one.
Oh and my vote goes to Sabbath.

So I have to cancel the other Purple 2 next with Evans...but I also have to cancel 2 other Sabbath albums...
Oh don't misunderstand me, I like Rod Evans as a singer and those first three Deep Purple albums are solid in their own right but against the first three Sabbath records? It's simply not fair. I think the 4th, 5th, and 6th albums are going to be the only really cool match ups.
No reason to cancel them. Do it, have fun with it and watch the tables get turned a few albums down the line.So I have to cancel the other Purple 2 next with Evans...but I also have to cancel 2 other Sabbath albums...
