Black Sabbaths easily. Shades was decent but nothing special to me.

Sabbath by light years. The only thing I like on that first DP album is Hush, and that's a cover tune.. albeit a hell of a cover tune.

Black Sabbath ~ Black Sabbath easily. Deep Purple were slow bloomers.

In terms of parallel releases, by the time Deep Purple finds their feet Sabbath will be petering out. I feel like most of these will be very one sided like this one.
