Some more from this weekends Rory Fest in Ballyshannon...Band of Friends with Davy Knowles - Bullfrog Blues...The band consists of Rory's long time bass player, Gerry McAvoy and Rory's old drummer Brendan O'Neil..Davy, from the Isle of Man, is a huge Rory fan and is a mighty fine guitar player, playing some neat slide here in this clip.

New book on Rory being published soon...book written by his brother and manager, Donal.

New book on Rory being published soon...book written by his brother and manager, Donal.

I'll definitely get a copy for certain.The first book that I bought after Rory's passing was a hardback book written by a French guy in English sometime around 2000 and then a few years later Gerry McAvoy (bass player) brought out his book called Riding Shotgun with Rory Gallagher and both books were good reads and subsequently a couple of Irish guys have written and published a book each on Rory which again are both good books to read. With in the last year (2026) a couple of young women in Europe have written and published a book on Rory dealing with his 'later years' from 1980 to 1995 and deal with the albums Jinx (1982) Defender (1987) & Fresh Evidence (1990) with this book going into quite some detail during the aforementioned years 1980-1995.

hi E-Z, hopefully the new book will be a good read, written by Donal too...I really enjoyed Gerry's 'Riding Shotgun' book...

Without a doubt BluesRocker cos I can never get too much of Rory cos after Hendrix Rory was THE MAN.
