Its the only Stones album Ive heard thus far and own, it was a great album without being spectacular.

Average for me LG. I listened to it yesterday and doesn't come close to Exile On Main Street. It is however better than Black And Blue IMO.

Hand of Fate is about the only good song on that one.
Goats Head Soup is a 7.5 for me ..voted 7

Its not my favourite,but its a great album IMO. I give it a 7. Highlights for me are: Dancing with Mr. D,Angie,Silver Train,Star Star,Can you hear the Music,etc

I gave it a 9.
It's my fifth favourite Stones album behind Exile, Sticky, Let it and Beggars.

I give it a solid 7, however I do think it's the weakest of their 70s studio efforts. "It's Only Rock and Roll" just edges it out and I actually like "Black and Blue" quite a bit. This isn't a knock on GHS, it's just that their 70s output was so stellar.
