Rest In Peace.

Casey Kasem was huge part of my childhood. From the Top 40 countdowns to the Scooby Doo voices. We will miss you.

This one hits hard. Between the voices he did for Saturday morning cartoons (Scooby Doo, Justice League of America, Josie and the Pussycats, etc.) and American Top 40 on Sunday mornings, Casey was pretty much my whole weekend in the early 70's when I was a kid. A big, sweet part of my childhood has passed. Thank you Casey, for all the happiness and music you brought to people's lives. You will be forever missed and always remembered.

With lovers, buggers, & thieves.
I grew up in the 80's, musically, listening to Casey Kasem hosting the American Top 40 radio show almost every weekend.

I particularly remember the 7 weeks he announced the #1 song to be "I Love Rock 'n' Roll" by, of course, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

Bless you, Casey!

I'll never forget his voice both on radio broadcasts and as the voice of Shaggy from the original Scooby Doo cartoon show.

:rip: Casey.

Casey was the voice I grew up with on the radio and in cartoons. Now he can be the voice in heaven.

Also, 1971's Here Comes Peter Cottontail by Rankin/Bass.

It's been a hard month for rock music, Doc Neeson, Jim Keays and now Casey Kasem, who's American top 40 was broadcast on mainstream Australian radio every week. My introduction to many classic songs was through Casey's radio show.
