Humm.....I'm going with Y&T. Riot isn't better, just more mainstream.:grinthumb. BTW, isn't Riot calling themselves Riot V now?

Earthshaker, Mean Streak, and Facemelter are all REALLY good albums.

Y&T is WAY more mainstream . I do like some early stuff like Black Tiger. Later stuff is far to commercial for my taste.

Riot by a zillion light years.

Yeah, agreed. I perceive Y&T to be more of a mainstream act... Riot (Now Riot V, yes) seems like they are severely underrated or at least underappreciated. I discovered them in a video game and fell in love ever since I jammed to the Narita album.

Maybe I chose the wrong word. IMO Y&T is more accessible and Riot V sounds like everything else in their genre. It's not that I dislike Riot V........it's just that I discovered Y&T first, and was jamming to their music way before I ever got my hands on Fire Down Under......which is really good album. But I'm still partial to Earthshaker!

I've never even listened to Riot V. I have the first 6 Riot albums on Vinyl , though. Not really the same band from what I gather.
