I went and listened to the Joan Baez version first to gain some perspective and ended up going down a Joan Baez rabbit hole. The Judas Priest cover is wonderfully reimagined in a heavy metal context. While the second half is a bit too metallic for my taste, the ballad-like beginning was preferable to Baez's folk version. 7.5/10
I can't believe Bon Scott was in this band singing backup vocals. So far from where he'd eventually end up to make a name for himself. Good song though, even though it's as sugary sweet as that song from The Archies. 7.7/10
