I love both of these tracks. Townsend and Scholz have surely been at the top end of gadgetry within the world of rock. I'm gonna go with The Who, based mainly on Pete's cleverness with lyrics. This track shows him giving a nod to the band's 'Mod' following at the time, whose favoured drug was amphetamine. Apparently over-use of it might result in a stammer - hence 'G G Generation'.

Boston's tune is smooth as a baby's bottom, which isn't a bad thing.

For me though, there is a gritty "busting at the seams" vitality in the Who song that takes me right back to those crazy adolescent years. (especially before I "liked" girls)
