I don't know if you all know this but not only can Queen play the blues when they want to but Freddie Mercury may or may not have invented death growls. :D

You might be interested in the book: "Is This the Real Life?" - by Mark Blake.

I read this and it is well written. I knew a lot of it, but learned a lot more.

Queen's Brian May have mentioned that he has discussed Lady GaGa singing with them. Here's an excerpt...

"Gaga, whose stage name was inspired by Queen's 1984 hit 'Radio Ga Ga,' has been in talks with Queen guitarist Brian May about the collaboration, as May told Britain's Daily Express. "We talk about going out on the road all the time but there's a bit of a singer problem to put it mildly. We get a lot of offers to work with other people. I worked with Lady Gaga and she's very creative and is someone we've talked about singing, fronting the band with."

Brian played on Gaga's "You and I" and it's the song that I like the best from her...though is sounds like it could be written by a hundred other people so that might have a tad to do with it. I'd be interested in them working together more because I think Brian could channel her talent in a direction that I like better.

I didn't know that. The guitar on that song did sound very Brian May esq, I just thought she was doing Queen worship on the track.

I know the late Clarence Clemons played the sax on The Edge of Glory. Pretty cool that she worked with some old school musicians on her album.
