What a dive bomb that "band" took!

Isn't that guy a game show host now or something?

I voted yes, but not major. Yeah, Mark McGrath (I think that's his name) hosted a game show on Fox. He also hosted "Access Hollywood" for a while but got replaced by Slater from "Saved by the Bell".

I know he hosts "Don't Forget the Lyrics!" I'm not sure if he hosted anything else. I love that show.

Option #3. The other big hit they had (Every Morning) made sense to be a pop hit. This one? Terribad.

For some reason or another I never got sick of "Fly" like I did the other ones. I remember "Someday" would really grate me and I think it just felt flat the whole time. Fly has a little more structure and changes throughout. I always saw those two singles as almost a Beach Boy type sunny type single. I know a lot of ballads I like don't have that many variations but in those it's usual replaced by an emotion vocal, etc. McGraffs vocal just drags when he actually sings IMO. I can see why people like them or even why they like them even more than "Fly" which is on a cornier level but they just dragged to me.

Lemme explain why.........the song is very catchy and it did make a big impact in the late 90's, but only for a short time.


It is like most "one hit wonders", the song is good for a while, but that is all. A lot of these pop songs really dont make any impact until the song is picked up by a movie or a TV show, like the song "Bad Boys" (cops theme).


I do like Reggae, but there are a ton of songs out there that are bigger hits than this song.
