Great tune. I was lucky enough to find a new copy of the 3 disc 40th anniversary edition of Piper At The Gates.. on Ebay last year for £5.

That's a bargain! I bought mine for $35 when it first came out.

Lucifer Sam would've made a great single if they released it as such. I'm guessing the "Lucifer" part unnerved some record execs.

That was one of the first songs I ever picked out on the guitar. Cool tune. I'd still love to hear someone try that one live. It's simple enough and really has a hook. Hell, I'll bet a creative chick could even dance to it.

Back in my drinking days, I invented a drink.


1 blender pitcher filled with ice
1/2 can of frozen, concentrated pink lemonade
Fill pitcher with vodka to taste (personally, I liked the vodka about 3-1 over the lemonade)

Turn on the blender and grind it up to the consistency of a Slurpee.


Ladies and gents, I give you, The Pink Floyd.

^^^ That actually sounds pretty tasty Vehicle. My friends used to like to put Country Farms pink lemonade drink mix in our drinks. Its good too. You should make signature drinks for all the big bands here and share the recipes. It'd be interesting.

In my opinion, their run from 1973-1979 was one of the best in music history, if not the best...4 perfect/near perfect albums in Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and the Wall.

Listening to Us and Them right now. Could listen to this band all day and never get tired of them.
