Wow, all I can think of when I see that article is how Dave has aged... not so gracefully. :bonk:

Hope the kid learned his lesson.

Aww, his son is really really cute!!

but I'm glad that he is being punished for his actions. all too often, children of famous persons are given a slap on the wrist and fail to be reprimanded for their behavior.

Theoretically I don't think anyone should be punished for disrespecting the dead, which is what it sort of seems like is the case here, or at least that is the part they seem to focus on. Mind you I think it's as reprehensible as anyone else does, it's just that the government shouldn't regulate morality. But attacking a government car? Not sure what kind of sentence that should receive but it obviously warrants punishment.

They should give him a medal for attacking the "royals." Wow, the little imp will rot in jail for for nearly two years of his spoiled life; not sure if swinging from the flag merits that...The judge probably gave him a year and a half as pay-back for his father's horrible music.

^^:oyea:

I agree about hating the royals,,,well not personally but what they represent.

Not sure if English justice is similar to ours or not, maybe he'll do one year and get out early.

And if anything the judge could have commuted the sentence to honour Pink Floyd's fantastic contribution to music.:grinthumb

^^:heheh: You are in good form tonight TC.:hab:

But Never underestimate the power of money when you have a wealthy patron on the outside and you are in jail. It's possible someone with stature/influence/respect will protect David's boy if he helps his family on the outside.

Actually this is kind of old news. Charlie was let out of jail a month or so ago. I think he's on some sort of house arrest or something.

He's actually not Gilmour's biological son. (which I think Dave is thanking his lucky stars for right about now!!) He adopted him when he was very young. Polly Samson, Dave's wife, is his mother and playwright Heathcoate Williams is his father.

He swung on a flag hanging at the Cenotaph in Whitehall. The disrespectful little bleep needs a slap. Are you American?

Edited LG.
