Back on topic, I don't think that this BS cover is one of the worst covers ever, but the fact that sabbath was as HUGE as they were to have such a wonky cover is part of the reason that it gets grief. I don't think it's dumb or bad as Never Say Die, or Technical Ecstasy. (and I already mentioned the fairy pants Ward is wearing on Sabotage)
If you really get right down to it though, Black Sabbath didn't have many album covers I'd say were anything to write home about. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was pretty cool, and their S/T debut was interesting in that it gave a creepy feel to a band with their name. But most of their "golden era" covers are kinda lame. And for the record, I say that as a huge fan of the band and the music.

I don't find that hideous in the least but then I do artwork somewhat similar to that so maybe I am basis.
