In 1985 David Rees founded the independent Jethro Tull magazine ‘A New Day’, and Martin Webb has been on board since the second issue. Over the course of the next 27 years and 104 issues (and counting) they’ve interviewed just about everyone who has ever been in the band or otherwise been associated with them, including several chaps from The John Evan Band from which five Tull members graduated (plus short-lived members of Tull like Tony Iommi and Don Airey).

David and Martin have collected those in-depth, fascinating and often irreverent interviews into a book, volume 1 of which is published this week. Ian Anderson has provided the foreword to the book and has written a witty endorsement on the official Jethro Tull website at The Official Jethro Tull Website.

Would be a very interesting read I'm sure. I don't usually bother with musician/band books, but I might make an exception for this one.;)
