I see the third one went into the cheap bin really quick and also the reviews for the album agree with what I think, but that is my opinion:)

^^ The first two were brilliant lets hope they go back to that. Here's a couple that get that older vibe going I reckon ...

Both cracking live outfits IMO.

Fury UK impressed me they opened for Saxon at Rock City last year and put on a belter of a show.

We need to keep an eye out for these bands touring as they usually do small venues, I'll get my man Tes on it sharpish like:)

I have Black Stone Cherrys first album and have seen them live a few times but their 3rd album is a little poor imo, it lacks the power and excitement of the first two.

I've only heard a couple of songs from their latest album and they sound on the commercialised-side to me, I hope that isn't the direction they are taking now. These new tracks I've caught are so-so offerings compared to their blinding earlier works.

Yeah Tray that is what I think, I believe that a lot of bands do make a blinding first album and then they maybe try a different direction and sometimes it works, look at Muses last album, nothing like their early stuff at all:(

Everyone seems to dislike The Resistance. I quite liked it, loved it actually. Then again I believe in some cases the order in which you buy a band's albums does factor in and that was the first of theirs I checked out. Black Holes and Revelations was the best though.

I actually really like The Resistance, but do admit if I put Muse albums in order of preference it would come last on my list. I don't think they, by any means, are losing their edge (as I heard some people say after The Resistance was released) - with Matthew being a classically trained pianist and his love for epic and experimental an album like this was bound to happen at some point.
Jen I think you're right, sometimes the order in which you hear a band's albums figures into the equation. I didn't realise Black Holes was your favourite - snap!!

Some good feedback for the album here, I will probably buy it when I see it cheap, I usually buy albums from the first one made as that is usually the best, however if I am getting into a band and see some of their stuff at a good price I will take a listen and may buy one of their later albums first.

It is difficult to improve on a classic time and time again and not many bands can always make a masterpiece. (unless you are an obsessive fan and idolise them lol)
