Yes, it's called XXX (Roman numerals for 30). I don't know why it has that title, because it is not their thirtieth studio album.

I've got a boatload of Asia albums but haven't listened to them for ages. I was "underwhelmed" by their debut considering the amount of talent the original line-up had but they put out some very good records over the years even though I am not sure who's in the latest version of Asia.

I'll give the new album a listen though, when I have time.

The current version of Asia is the original lineup of John Wetton, Steve Howe, Geoff Downes and Carl Palmer. There is also John Payne's Asia.

^^Thanks for the update Martin...I've always been a big fan of John Wetton.

John Payne's Asia?? You mean there are two versions of Asia actively recording/touring?

^ Me too, UK are brilliant and I never use the word 'brilliant'.

I do not know if John Payne's Asia is currently recording or touring, but he is legally entitled to use the name 'Asia featuring John Payne'. He also has a band called GPS, which has a similar lineup, so it remains to be seen which band, Payne's Asia or GPS, release the next album. An album called Americana was scheduled for release in 2011, by one of Payne's bands, but I do not know if it has seen the light of day.

^^I agree I saw UK open for Jethro Tull, they played most of Danger Money, that was in 1977 I think.

Okay that clears things up, I am only interested in the Other version of Asia, not Payne's various knock ups.;)

I would love to have seen that tour. Eddie Jobson played on Tull's A album, which sounds like UK in places. Payne is okay, but just isn't Asia. His band has Jay Schellen and Erik Norlander.
