Desert Call is a great album. Obviously influenced by Symphony X.

I had Desert Call but misplaced it and it slipped my mind or it would have made my 2010 list. Love the middle eastern folk influences .Great album I need to locate or pick up again.

That's what I love most about it. It's not like a lot of progressive metal. The vocalist is absolutely amazing as well. I could listen to him for hours upon hours.

Picked up Tales Of The Sand a few weeks ago. Big improvement over thier last album IMO. Great technical compositions blending traditional Arabic instrumentations with metal riffs and wild time sig shifts. Epic keys and better songwriting/vocals.
