Barbara Mandrell???

I had forgotten about her. I guess she is as deserving as anyone else.

I have no idea, it's different from the RRHOF though and they can't botch things any worse than that lot has done over the years.

I never got the whole Peter Frampton thing.

Frampton Comes Alive, I think, was a case of catching lightning in a bottle. Right place at the right time.

^^I like Peter Frampton and his double live album is good but I also agree with you I don't get why he's being given this award.:dunno:

Peter Frampton was interviewed recently about Comes Alive and said he had four flop albums, each of which performed marginally worse than its predecessor. In the meantime he was touring and playing the material relentlessly (mainly in the US). He put the success of the live album down to a record company that allowed him to develop. I think this was A&M, run by Herb Alpert, who of course was a musician.
