I used to have a subscription to Blender and loved it! I read it cover to cover and even if I didn't like all the artist the articles were always well written ands the magazine had not only a variety of styles but also a variety of article types to make it entertaining. Plus, it had a great sense of humor as well and didn't take everything too seriously. It wasn't a political magazine posing as a music/culture magazine. Anyway, I was sad when it disappeared and have been reading/discovering music online ever since. :)

Also I like the hard copy. I don't want to be looking at that stuff on a phone or a laptop, though I do check out a lot of websites for news.

Yup, same here!

I am curious, could someone give me a description of MOJO? I know of it just nothing about it.

This is a description I found on Amazon:

Music, music, music. That's what "Mojo" is about, and ALL it's about. If you're looking for info on pop stars' latest paramours, or rants about the government, look elsewhere. This magazine is a sleek, polished, well-informed music magazine that focuses on the core of what people listen to.
"Mojo" covers all the bases with information about rock (present and classic), country, R&B, alternative, punk, and a speckling of other types. In-depth, professional articles -- at least one big one, and a number of smaller ones, interviews and analysis alike. Not to mention, of course, the wealth of reviews and concert reports.

Unlike many music magazines, "Mojo" focuses both on the past and present. Present: Norah Jones, Outkast, Ryan Adams, Flaming Lips, Strokes and David Bowie. Past: Led Zeppelin, Elvis, Ramones, the Beatles (naturally!), Pink Floyd, Nirvana, and so forth. They also take a hard look at up-and-coming new bands and performers, without letting hype get in the way. They balance out respect for rock's illustrious past, while acknowledging the worth of new bands and music.

Sounds about right.

From a guitarist point of view, I bought Guitar For the Practicing Musician for probably 6 or 7 years. Had a subscription for much of that time. I also bought Guitar World when it looked like a good issue, but never had a subscription to it. I'd also buy Guitar Player from time to time, but it wasn't very often.

I also used to buy a couple of guitar magazines regularly, but I've cut down on those as well. I hadn't bought one for months, but actually picked up the latest issue of Guitar World because it had Billy Gibbons (and Jeff Beck) on the cover!

Never.

I get all my music news exclusively from the internet forums I belong to.

I occasionally buy Classic Rock or Record Collector for my other half and on the rare occasion Kerrang for myself.

Regularly buy Classic Rock but am more disappointed than excited over the past few issues. They just don't have enough news or articles on the truly classic rock music lately. Sure, there have been some amazing artists that have come through (Rival Sons and Joe Bonamasa being 2 that spring to mind) but I prefer the older stuff. Still stuck in the 70's, that's me.
Occassionally I will buy Uncut or Mojo if there's a worthwhile article. Never buy Rolling Stone as I find them elitist and a mouthpiece for their sponsors with hardly an honest article.

In the 80's it was Hit Parader and Circus. Over recent years it has been regular copies of HiFi News And Record Review with the odd copy of Classic Rock. Past few months I've bought regular CR. Also have the Uncut Ultimate Music Guide -Led Zeppelin.
However the best source of information (especially reviews) seems to be forums like this.

While we're on this subject, The November issue of 'Uncut', which is already on the shelves, is an 'Endless River' Special, with 10 pages of interviews with Nick Mason, David Gilmour and Phil Manzanera. Already got my copy :D

Occasionally, I used to buy Sounds and Kerrang as a teenager, now I sometimes pick up a Classic Rock or Record Collector mag.
