Looking for some music for my dad (and myself) but am not sure what to get.

We both like Rock music and like Blues music and LOVE Blues Rock. I want to get him some new CDs but between the two of us, we kinda' have all the most popular stuff. i.e. B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughaun, etc.

Basically, I just need some suggestions for some bands that I could look into that are similar to the groups I mentioned above.

By the way, a couple I'm gonna' get that we don't yet have is Robin Trower - Bridge of Sighs and John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers - Hard Road (Exp).

Thanks!

You might like to check out "Black Country Communion" ITSANSS, all my friends that like blues rock seem to think this new album is top drawer.

I can personally say, both those albums are fantastic. You'll love 'em.

Good call on Mayall and Trower. Phenomenal records, both!

I'd recommend these two additions. Roy Buchanan's Live Stock and Lance Lopez's Simplify Your Vision. One is a classic and the other is a newer band with all the blues-rock fury one can handle!

check 'em out

Not sure how widely available Lopez is, but these guys have it...

And I agree on John Mayall.. I've been looking to find a CD of him and Keith Urban that was featured on CMT..
