Predictions for 2012 based on experience and past form:
- No way Aerosmith will finish their new album in 2012; studio time will need to be shoe-horned between 'Steven Tyler goes Hollywood' activities, resulting in at least one more near break up with Joe Perry, before the lure of the yankee dollar pulls the project back into line
- Van Halen LP with emerge in February, backed by the biggest rock marketing campaign since Bon Jovi's New Jersey and fantastic overblown David Lee Roth interviews to cheer everyone up in these recession hit times. The album won't be too shoddy either, but the main complaint will be that it sounds TOO MUCH like classic Van Halen
- ZZ Top will quietly release their best LP since Deguello, but most people won't notice
- Black Sabbath with slay with a super heavy comeback LP, that will be derided by critics and promptly adored by everyone else
