In all fairness to Ozzy, the dude just lost one of his best friends and bandmates in Randy Rhoads as well as a couple other members of his crew. Ozzy was devistated at the time and actually is rumored (or maybe it's been verified) that he wanted to quit that business after Randy's death.
At the time of that tragic accident, they were working on putting together a live album, however the record company forced Ozzy to shelf the idea and get something else out ASAP. Sabbath's Live Evil was due to be released later in the year and they wanted to get Ozzy's live album out before Live Evil, which they did.
So with Ozzy being unenthused about even having to do this album, I'm sure he didn't put a lot of thought or care into the album cover either.
*shrug* Just speculating.
I agree, I was there back in the day and bought all of these albums as a new release. I saw Ozzy w/ Brad Gillis only 2 months after Randy Died. Gotta give Ozzy credit for getting off the mat after that tragedy.
SOOOOOO HARD!!!
