Deadbolt reminds me of surf rock mixed with weird but cool as hell lyrics.
I love the bands sound.

 

[Beady Eye]

Veruca Salt is fairly underground now. They were a punk-grunge band of women starting in 93. Rites of spring were never "huge" but pretty well known in the 90s rock community for being regarded as the pioneers of emo-core and screamo.

Their debut album "American Thighs" is still in my alpha rotation playlist. Didn't they use to be quite famous for a while in the mid 90s?

They released 3 albums. Kind of melodic heavy grunge, and the first album is "funky" in parts.
