A theatre release would be a hell of a lot more exciting than a DVD release, I don't care how big your plasma wall-mounted quadrophonic flat-screen HD 3D TV is in your house, it's not as great as the full sound and vision thing you get on a 50 foot x 40 foot cinema screen.

I'm seriously not looking forward to hearing Plants live vocals at all, his voice IMO has been on the slide for over 30 years since Presence, so I doubt it would have been up to much in 2007, but yeah, big day that this show finally gets released one way or another

Depends on the theatre obviously. If the sound system is well maintained then yes. Then there's the chattering, the gum of the floor, the occasional cell phone ringing...:D

Depends on your house, I know plenty of people who get that all night right in their own homes! :)

Anyway you look at it, a theatre showing has to be 100% more authentic and like being at an actual gig than watching a DVD on the sofa...as long as we also get the DVD released I will definitely want to see this in a movie theatre.

I too will be attempting to see it a local cineplex. Agree on your last assessment in that the fun will be other there people whoopin' and hollerin' along. Only thing missing are the scantily clad groupies I suppose. Ha!

Fantastic clip, looks like a total must see, though I was right, 'Percy' lost the top range in his voice entirely, you will notice he never even attempts anything over what used to be the middle range in his voice, and often sings a full octave down, but it comes with ageing, it's certainly not a criticism, Plant was one of the great rock singers, and his voice still has a real quality about it, only the unique/remarkable Geddy Lee seems impervious to the natural vocal ageing process. That's a very cool trailer.

Is it my imagination, or is Rob Ryan of the Cowboys even fatter and uglier than his brother Rex of the Jets? :)

Actually no, but it's close (spoken like a true Redskins fan)

The more I play that trailer, the more pumped I am about that Zeppelin concert movie.

My only slight problem with it, is that the re-union gig was a benefit concert for charity, so now I assume the band will presumably get to make literally millions of $ from the proceeds of the film of the show. It's like Queen playing Live Aid for Africa, and they were so amazing that the next week there's half a dozen Queen albums back at the top of the charts in every country on earth, and the album royalties the band made after Live Aid were apparently just staggering....certainly enough to feed a few million more starving Ethiopians.

But hey, I'll overlook it!....seeing Plant and Page and JPJ back together is worth it, I'll try and find a way to eat any minor cynicism that I may have right up to the point when I buy the ticket to see the show in the movie theatre, and the day my DVD arrives :)
