Been growing increasingly interested in listening to the works of Canadian prog-rockers Klaatu beyond their debut which in 1976 was mistaken for a secret Beatles' reunion. Can anyone recommend any particular titles.I'm appealing particularly to Canadian fans here as I know they've developed somewhat of a cult following up in Northland..............

Klaatu has been one of my favorite bands for 42 years now, so much so that I became a friend to the inner circle of the band. They had a fan based resurgence in the mid nineties, with all kinds of ReIssues, ReMasters, solo releases, Klaatu Konventions, etc. Of the 5 studio albums, I personally love them all, with possibly Endangered Species being the weakest. They had 2 different websites at one time, Google to find out more.

^ Great video. Always wondered why people thought Klaatu was the Beatles and that explains it. I don't think they sound very much like the Beatles, but that's just my opinion.

My favorite Klaatu album is Endangered Species.

My fav Klaatu lp is the one you properly utilize by taking it to the bottom of the garden and demolishing the atrocity with a pitchfork.

Besides, like, say Supertramp, Klaatu were not prog and hence you dont put them in a prog thread (unless your a total noob.)

I, Deacon Beaker, am Canadian and can firmly attest that the Canadian late 60s, 70s rock output - with the exception of a few psych bands - was abysmal commercial pap. We, as Canadians should hide our faces in shame.
