Agreed. It's pretty rare to find pix of him without the Les Paul, so it's fun seeing them. (other than the Frehley's Comet days when he played a variety of different guitars)Yeah I like when ACE used a different guitar.
Explorers are really cool guitars. Not only do they look good but every one I've ever had the pleasure of playing is set up with low action and perfect balance. Yeah, the Les Paul has the superior sound and in some ways even feels better in your hands but the Explorer is truly a great axe.

I got Ace's book yesterday for Valentines Day. I can't wait to read it. I read a couple of pages before getting "the look". I thought a glass of champagne and a good read, the wife had other ideas. Glad I put the book down. I'll let you know what I thought after I'm done.
