Oh is it? That's pretty awesome. I got Teenage Dream on iTunes and it was one of the bonus tracks for the deluxe version along with 2 other remixes.

Yes, I do believe I have the deluxe version. It's a fun little album. Makes for good driving music.

I'm not really hip to her music but what I have heard sounds cool. What I find refreshing about her is that she doesn't have to rely on being outrageous to showcase her work. She's kooky which I find charming. Her and Zooey Deschannel could pass as twins. Someday maybe she can do an album of "standards"...

My friend tortured me insisting on hearing the remix version of "Last Friday (T.G.I.F.)! basically the song is almost the same except the atrocious Missy Elliott rap and the shit towards the end. I thought Missy Elliott was retired from music. She should be after that horrible lyrical garbage! Anyway, I'm fine with katy Perry but most pop remixes are bad but this was garbage! Now you guys can suffer through it too!

^^^^^SOot ..sOoT.. SoOt!! Let me ask you a question about this remix song.. Isn't a remix made from the original song and they just dub vocals over it like most rap artist do????
So like Katy Perry wasn't no where near the recording studio where this was cut right??
If you feel like it can you explain why this wouldn't be considered plagiarism??

That's exactly what they did but they changed the music towards the end. They didn't plagiarize as much as take a dump on the song and call it fresh!

^^ OK so like if someone famous in the rap world like Missy Elliot takes one of your songs and changes it to her singing or rapping over the verses and uses your vocals only on the chorus, that is considered a honor for Katy Perry??
I'll take your word on the dump part since I just listened to the first minute of it..

Remixes happen alot.. A DJ is allowed to turn a song into a more dance beat or do what ever they want with the song to change it up some..

I just think that's odd for some reason.. Not sure how that works..

Missy's verse on TGIF is weak, but not as weak as Kanye's on E.T. IMHO IMHO! Oh my goodnes... I died when I heard it. WHAT'S NEXT? ALIEN SEX!! The man, bless his soul, has the subtlety of a monster truck ramming into a beluga whale. Why couldn't they have put him on Peacock instead? E.T. is Katy's most subtle song....

Don't judge remixes by that kind of crap, though... for me a remix is 100% about producing a striking brand new take on an already good song, more akin to what Led Zeppelin did than the ole' 'throw a half-assed rap verse on top of a song' style of remix. Most of the time, if the remix is only a few minutes long, I won't even check it out, out of fear that it might be one of those banal remixes that barely adds anything to the song at all.





The E.T. remix EP is fantastic.... Most of Katy's remixes are pretty short but definitely new takes on the songs anyway.
