Brought a smile to my face when I saw this thread. It took me back 10 years to when I was on holiday with my wife on a small island off the coast of Tunisia. Only one hotel and nearly all Brits in attendance. So karaoke was bound to happen. The evening was going well, with lots of people having a go until this young black guy who we had got friendly with got up. He belted out a soul standard (I forget which one), and everybody was speechless. He was that good I asked him if he was a pro singer and he denied that (I reckon he was lying). Needless to say no-one wanted to get up afterwards
