John Lennon vs. Bob Dylan

Who was the best singer, songwriter, instrument player, and just overall best of the two?

Lennon, better singer, better guitar player,,,but I might give Dylan the edge as a songwriter.

I like Dylan more now than I ever have, and I am sure his fans will show up in force.

Since you listed 3 criteria, I'll vote for Lennon. As LG stated Lennon is the far better singer, better guitar player (although Dylan is somewhat underrated for his playing), but Dylan wins the songwriter category.

Overall though, Lennon gets the vote.

If it weren't for the criteria, i'd choose Dylan. But i'll choose Lennon in this case as well.
