British Blues Explosion - Live will be released on May 18, 2018
Available on triple vinyl, 2CD, 2DVD and blu-ray
Joe Bonamassa has been more influenced by the impact of British Blues than by any other music out there. From a young age, the musically inclined Joe fell in love with the hard-rocking, gritty and edgy sound that emanated from mid-1960’s Britain. This is especially true of the highly innovative and evocative guitar music produced by three of the field’s greatest heavyweights, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page. With the deepest reverence for what these three men have accomplished and a true love of their music.
Joe pays tribute to his British Blues heroes during this short but very sweet tour of Britain – 5 performances only. He then brought the show back to the United States for one night only at the beautiful famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. That Red Rocks show will now be released on triple vinyl, 2CD, 2DVD and blu-ray.
Of course we will add a sweet A2-sized poster to every pre-order.

I do not understand why he would rather perform and release old material like this, when he could record his own modern greats with BCC.
He would have to really go some to improve on Beck and Stewart's version of Plynth. Nicky Hopkins played the piano and I think he had a writing credit too. Every time they showed The Streets of San Francisco, I heard Plynth, and it runs through the Montrose albums.
I am also one of the few people to like Boogie with Stu, so I must admit I would be interested to hear his take on this.

Because he loves playing it, and people will pay to see it? And he has already done four albums with BCC, but is not really a rock guitarist, more blues. Also, the collaborations with Beth Hart, also largely old material. That's blues for ya!

I guess most of you guys already know this but the little that I have read about Joe is that the British blues guitarists of the 1960s & 1970s are his personal favourite guitar hero's.
