Re: Jethro Tull

I picked up the remastered CD set of this live album a while ago Sox, so I'll join you shortly with some Tull for breakfast.:D

^^ I would love to have seen that line up Mr. Barlow has to be one of my fave drummers of all time.

Re: Jethro Tull

Jethro Tull have been blessed with some really great drummers during the 40+ years they've been on the road. Each one has fitted well into the band and each one has been crucial to the development of the band at any given time.

Clive Bunker was just right for the first years of the band. He and Glenn Cornick were the bedrock upon which the band matured from a little old blues band to stadium rockers.

Barrie Barlow's gift was to be able to add to Ian Anderson's ideas and compositions during the phase of the band's life where they became masters of their trade and a world beating and original band.

Doane Perry has been able to fill the shoes of his predecessors admirably without fuss and bother and to continue to enhance the vast body of work which is Jethro Tull.

Mention and thanks must be made to Mark Craney, Paul Burgess, Gerry Conway, Dave Mattacks, Mark Mondesir and a host of others for keeping the drum stool warm

Re: Jethro Tull

Vividly remember singing Aqualung at a karaoke party shortly after my high school graduation.
