Ok, this time I'm gonna choose
I do wish Page had done more stuff after Zep though, seems he pretty much sat on his laurels after them.

The couple of albums he did with Paul Rogers ex-Free & Bad Company during the early mid 1980s as The Firm I thought were ok plus I thought his solo album Outrider which features Chris Farlow on several tracks was ok as well and which I still occasionally play it every now and then.

I like The Firm, but nowadays the production seems so poor, and would also have liked to hear both Paul and Jimmy let rip a bit more, but that's just my personal taste.
i also enjoyed some of Jimmy with Roy Harper for a folky take, but that album wouldn't be to everybody's taste.
It's still disappointingly little for all those years after Zep :(

"Jimi can I ask you the question, What is it like being the worlds greatest guitar player?".

Jimi replies in a soft tone-

"I don't know you better go and ask RORY GALLAGHER?".

Giving my vote to Clapton. .....with a 2nd place tie between Jeff Beck & Alvin Lee.

The funny thing about E Clapo was how he kept changing his appearance throughout his musical career from the 1960s onwards.

I already vote Clapton but
I feel the need to represent Peter Green for the greatness that he was.
This is great music for a long drive or by the camp fire or just baked with headphones.
Like Band Of Gypsies era Jimmy.

Agree. He always reinvented himself. Shows how talented he is :)

Clapton. Deepest catalog in the bunch. He has some sappy and crappy stuff mixed in, but the vast majority of his guitar work (in my opinion) is pretty good. I would also list him as the most influential in the bunch. I think that more well known guys emulated Clapton, most notably Eddie Van Halen and think about how many guys were influenced by Eddie (maybe that's not the way to look at it, but it's how i look at it). I think that Beck would probably be the #2 most influential guy on the list.

I think Page is probably the "riff master" in the bunch, but he was incredibly sloppy in concert which is a major downfall for me.
