All I know is that I'm so happy I came back here. This site has been such a breath of fresh air. Drama-less posting, good album writeups, and for the most part opposing views have been pretty open minded.

It's also cool to see some famliar faces, seeing the site growing right in front of my eyes and getting to know some of the older posters better.

There were hardly any members here, the few that returned after Shaggy started up again eventually just stopped posting. I can't speak for the history before April last year, but it was very quiet in here. Flower might have more to say she has been here a lot longer than I have and Knows a lot of the old members that don't visit anymore.

I was a member of Dwight's forum. BTW I did not know until now why he quit. Thanks for the info. I am really sorry that he got treated like that. I have been a member here since Shaggy sent me an e-mail when he first took over. I stopped posting for various reasons as mentioned above, but I still checked in regularly. I started posting here again after Flower told me she was coming over here. I am proud to belong to such an intelligent and well-behaved group. You rock!!

Searching on the internet, looking for more info on classic rock bands. I found CRF a few months ago and would periodically stop by, each time I visited I would take more time to read some threads and comments.

I really enjoy the topics, camaraderie, reading the comments, and also talking about the great music with all of the nice, cool folks here! :)

The folks moderating and operating this terrific site are very cool, helpful and nice rocker folk, imo! I greatly appreciate them, this site and all of the excellent discussions! :)

That's a long swim Groovy Man...:heheh:...glad you made it though along with Lynch and Rocker440.

And I should have added Annie to my earlier post as being one of the first to help us get things going in here again. That's cool to know you remember the original owner, I was surprised how far back the history of this place went.

And Bucky...or as he is formally known Monsieur RTBuck. Check out some of his dissertations when you have time, they read like a historical novel and add that personal touch at the same time.

I`m a newjack here and even though I feel a little uneasy in answering this thread, I`ll take that liberty, although Im a relative newbie, I`m a veteran of several message boards.
There was one particular board that was a favorite stomping ground of mine, but in recnt times, lack of interest pervaded, some of the new breed of posters were downright snarky and ill mannered, given to complaining about others who created threads, yet were short on creativity and having no creativity at all.Being a New Yorker, I can defend myself quite well verbally, but life is too short to get into ridiculous name calling matches with kindergarten internet punks.
I had pretty much given up on message boards until I stumbled onto this one. The level of posting was quite professional, the atmosphere seemed friendly, and there was spirited debate without spilling into childish recriminations.
Also, some of the members were quite helpful with me and although my time is limited on the web, I do enjoy it here, and i hope to start more threads when I have the oportunity

^^No need to feel uneasy Stout, although you are relatively new I have enjoyed your posts and look forward to more in the future.

You summed up my feelings exactly, "Life Is Too Short" to get hung up on Forum Pyrotechnics, and we can all be adult enough to debate without getting mean spirited or personal.
