Well, it's in the spirit of the classic sound.

Most youtube comments figure it's Victor or DeCarlo on this track.

Thanks for the link 70s Guy, yeah it's not a bad track, but it’s much as I’d expected I’m afraid. Boston are just one of those bands suffering from what I call Rock ‘ n Roll Groundhog Day, where you go your whole career constantly ending up right back in exactly the same place and time/era where you started in the first place with each new record. I mean there’s nothing to actually dislike about it, but that’s the problem, it’s just too safe and unadventurous to get worked up about, and so for me it just goes straight in one ear and out of the other. It’s actually hard to believe that Tom Scholz takes around 10 years or more to come up with exacty the same old formula with each new record, though I would never criticise him because I know he’s a really good person and he spends half his life raising a ton of money and supporting some very important charitable causes, in fact I’d actually much rather that he had my $15 for a new album than many other rock star types who’d just put it towards another new sports car for their trophy wife, or spend it on their next cocaine fix.

Not a bad song at all....here's what's strange though. Being the perfectionist that he is...

...(and I do love his writing)... it sounds even more like he recorded all this on his PC.

Maybe the same one he made the album cover on??

:flirt

Here's the official release, since the original(s) were taken down.

This song is actually growing on me. It's hard to dislike one of the first bands I ever heard "new".

Guitar-wise, it sounds like classic Boston... pretty much anything from their first three albums. The lead vocals in the first verse don't do much for me. The chorus vocals seem kinda cluttered. Not to say they are bad, but it's almost too much going on there.

BTW: is it just me, or is that song missing a guitar solo? :wtf:

This song not featuring Brad's vocals aside, they multi-tracked Brad in the old days, so Tommy & David doing the chorus now is going to sound a lot different.

I felt Brad's vocals on Higher Power from the GH album didn't really sound like his norm either, like he wasn't putting his usual effort into it, but the song he did with Barry Goudreau, Rockin' Away, really did sound like classic Brad.
