Great Poll! Alone Together gets my vote. Such an underrated album.
I love Neil Young, but Harvest, for whatever reason, is not one of my favorites by him.

Haven't heard Alone Together for probably 20 years, not even sure if I still have it on vinyl, I did once, I loved Traffic, so I bought it, but it never struck me as anything brilliant. But Harvest is just a beautiful record, from one of NY's several 'country' periods, which he should have stuck with his whole life, the moment Neil Young picks up an electric guitar, my teeth begin to ache, and I get the urge to stick my finger in the wall socket to cause a power-outage just to make the distorted racket go away.

I remember buying one of Dave Mason's solo albums in the late 70's and it was among the biggest disappointments ever for me. I never bothered with his stuff after that.

Harvest by a gulf so vast it cannot be measured, this one and After the Gold Rush are the pinnacles of his solo career, at least they are for me.

But have you listened to Alone Together LG? It truly is great and I do agree with you, Dave Mason got poppy and sappy toward the 80's, Christ, he did a duet with Michael Jackson!

Alone Together was his first solo album. It came out in 1970.

Shouldn't Have Took More Than You Gave is great as well as Look at You, Look at Me; Sad and Deep as You
