This band is for all those people out there hanging on to the phychedelic 60's. HP Lovecraft formed in the mid 60's and put out two albums. They broke up and reformed in the 70's as Lovecraft and eventually morphed into Love Craft.
If you haven't guessed it by now, the band gets its influence from the great macabre writer, H. P. Lovecraft. They have very rich vocal harmonies and the music is enriched with some lush organ and piano parts and ochestral parts juxtaposed into the music.
The debut album came out in 1967, a S/T album:
The music is not only psychedelic but has an eerie haunting quality. You also will hear some jazz and folk influences as well.
