Since I'm 20, I was 10 in 1996, when pop music started becoming really popular again. Therefore, pop music is my guilty pleasure, and I still listen to a lot of pop when no one else is around (the Spice Girls, Christina Aguilera, etc.)

Heard another one on the way to work:

Voices Carry by Til Tuesday. Aimee Mann has such a good voice. Rush used her for back-up vocals to great effect on Time Stand Still.

Lots of "adult contemporary music" falls into my "guilty pleasures" category. Things like:

*"Sweet Love" by the Commodores
*"All Night Long" by Lionel Ritchie
*"Love Is The Answer" by England Dan and John Ford Coley (of course, this one has some legitimacy to it since it was written by Todd Rundgren)
*"Man In The Mirror" by Michael Jackson
*"Missing You" by Diana Ross
*"Fantasy" by Earth, Wind, and Fire
*"You Light Up My Life" by Debby Boone
*"No One Else On Earth" by Wynonna Judd
*"I Can't Make You Love Me" by Bonnie Raitt (of course, she's pretty legit too)

And in other categories:

Just about anything by (horrors!!!) The Archies, Daryl Hall and John Oates, Phil Collins, the Control and Rhythm Nation albums by Janet Jackson, a good bit of Madonna's stuff, and lots and lots of Monkees records.

Hmmm...mentioning K-Tel took me back to two great "guilty pleasures" I have on an old piece of K-Tel vinyl: "After the Gold Rush" by Prelude and "So You Are A Star" by the Hudson Brothers.

I had a friend who loved the Hudson Brother's records and insisted they were of a Beatles type quality. years later, I notice one of those guys has become ringo's producer of choice so maybe my friend knew what he was talking about.

their t.v. show bugged me. a little too happy go lucky for me.
i thought they made Sonny and Cher's show seem edgy.
