Re: Genesis

^^ Fantastic to see! Squonk is among my favourites too and Lilywhite Lilith is one of the standout tracks on The Lamb IMO :grinthumb Not many Genesis fans rank any songs from ATTWT and FGTR as their favourites, so it's great to see you've got a few from each, they're both underrated albums! :D

Re: Genesis

Even though I grew up to 70's music, I never heard any of the Peter Gabriel era Genesis (yes, that is a crime, or should I say Nursery Crime). I grew up with the Phil Collins-led era. I recently bought a bunch of the 70's LP's and I like what I heard. I have about 10 LP's, as well as 2 versions of "3 Sides Live" on LP. I have no desire to buy "Invisible Touch" or anything after that.

Same here. I grew up with the Collins era Genesis, which I still love. My uncle has been a huge fan of early Genesis since my early childhood. My brother got into the Gabriel era Genesis not too long ago so I thought I would follow suit. My husband picked up their greatest hits which included some of the earlier stuff and I immediately fell in love with The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway and The Knife. I hope to collect their early stuff on LP.

I didn't look through the entire thread, so I'm sorry if these were already posted. Just thought I would post my favorites.

You like early Genesis more or the later more commercially successful version JG?

Duke is a top notch album...I like both but seeing I'm a big prog fan the early years are my favorite too.
