Re: Genesis

:D Who else but the legendary Gabriel line up of Genesis could include the word 'Pythagoras' in a song lyric !!. (it can be found in Suppers Ready).

Cheers :cheers2 Metalpriest for the Suppers ready lyric breakdown.

:cheers2 Bryter.

Re: Genesis

Genesis made quite a few references to Greek history/Mythology in their time. The Fountain Of Salmacis is entirely about the adventures of Hermaphroditus, there's the Father Tiresias section in The Cinema Show and indeed Pythagoras in Supper's Ready :grinthumb

Re: Genesis

Question: What ever became of this SIX HOURS LIVE 1972-1980 DVD??? Was it out? Was it limited? Is it coming out?? Is it not coming out??

Is this an official bootleg?? I found it through some Tommy Gun Video site....sad I thought , for some reason, this was an official product.

If info on this has been posted already I apologize...a little tied up at the moment and cannot venture through the thread this second. :grinthumb

Re: Genesis

Yeah, TommyGunVideo seems to be the only site it's available on. I'm not sure if the band themselves ever released it, which is a shame really since the quality is fantastic!

Re: Genesis

Even though I grew up to 70's music, I never heard any of the Peter Gabriel era Genesis (yes, that is a crime, or should I say Nursery Crime). I grew up with the Phil Collins-led era. I recently bought a bunch of the 70's LP's and I like what I heard. I have about 10 LP's, as well as 2 versions of "3 Sides Live" on LP. I have no desire to buy "Invisible Touch" or anything after that.

Been listening to more ABACAB these days...and Keep It Dark is one of my favorites from that!
