Re: Gamma Ray

They are a good hard rockin'/metal band that captivated me about three years ago Dave. I have all of their albums now, and Helloween's as well. They are sort of linked similar to Priest and Maiden except they're from Hamburg Germany.

Re: Gamma Ray

I have that version and the European one, I wonder why they didn't just release One universal version...?

Re: Gamma Ray

Seein' I have some company in here I will do the next album, 1997's "Somewhere Out In Space", a concept album that is a tribute to Stanley Kubrick's film 2001 A Space Odyssey. I can't claim to be able to connect all the dots between Kai's album and Kubrick's movie and Clarke's novel, but that is of no moment, this a a fantastic album. The songs are well written, the playing is great and the theme holds it all together. Seeing I am a fan of space, Clarke, Kubrick and Gamma Ray it's no wonder I really enjoyed this CD when I picked it up.

Beyond the Black Hole.

Re: Gamma Ray

I am very partial to metal bands from Germany. I was first a huge fan of this bands frontman, Kai Hansen, when he was with Helloween. Both bands are top notch power metal bands. Gamma Ray has definitely blossomed quite a bit since the late 90's after they had some stability in the band members.

this is an excellent piece of artwork
