I used to have that picture from the Majestic album as my avatar in two other forums, and If I was going to ever get a tatoo I would consider it myself.

If you are new to GR, I would suggest you start with "Land of the Free", the first one, it is a great album Thumper...I am of course biased and like them all.

Re: Gamma Ray

That Somewhere Out In Space song clenched it for me! I like what I here from this band so far! :grinthumb They are more arena rock than I was expecting considering a lot of the symphonic metal bands I've been seeing pop up lately! I'll check back to this thread for new vids for sure! :grinthumb

Re: Gamma Ray

Time to wake my boys up in here.:D

After the debut album, GR released "Sigh No More" in 1991. The band was still finding their legs in their early years, and the album is a little uneven, some really good songs and some that are just okay. Still I like this album a lot, it has grown on me over the times I have played it.

One With The World.

Re: Gamma Ray

More dusting...next came "Insanity & Genius", released in 1993. This was GR's third CD, and showed beyond any doubt that Gamma Ray was making some really good metal, even if they were barely noticed in North America. Kai's songwriting continued to improve, he might have prospered if he remained in Helloween, but now that GR was in full flight and he was in total control I can understand why he left his old band.

Here's Last Before The Storm.
